Hi! I’m Lukas, a PhD-student at psychology department of the University of Amsterdam. I am interested in “neuroimaging” (measurement and analysis of brain-data) in general and the neural representation of (perceived) emotions in specific. Apart from that, I also care about open science and I aim to contribute to a more open, transparent, and reproducible research climate within the cognitive neurosciences by working on open-source software (and teaching about it!).

You can find more information about my research, software, and teaching on this website. Also, check out my personal blog (mostly on teaching and doing neuroimaging) and my “popular science” blog on Faces of Science.

Although I have the tendency to get absorbed into my work (like many colleagues in science), I do have a life apart from my work, in which I like doing sports (mainly (beach)volleyball, tennis, and climbing/bouldering) and exploring new countries while on holiday.
